Next, right-click on the ‘cmd’ and select run as administrator. Usually notepad is located here: C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe. Open the Start Menu and type cmd, you will see the ‘cmd’ program appearing in the search result. I'll be short: how do I set the notepad to run always as administrator? It is not possible through the file properties because it says that I cannot use compatibility settings because the program is a part of Windows. You surely don't have the notepad application in your Start Menu, there's only a shortcut there.
